BOWERY BALLROOM
The GoStation will be performing at New York's renowned Bowery Ballroom for the first time on Monday, Oct. 6. We'll be supporting up-and-coming solo artist Nicholas Megalis, along with Emperor City Motorcade, Flying Machines, and others. Advance tickets are available directly through our site. Just visit the live page to get yours, and for a limited time, every ticket purchase will come with a free CD copy of our debut album! This is an all-ages show.
SEE THE SUN
With a new Oasis album on the way, The GoStation have paid tribute to the Britpop titans by offering up their own take on one of the Manchester outfit's earliest songs. Included among the first batch of Oasis demos from 1992, "See The Sun" was never given a proper studio outing, and has remained available only through bootleged versions of what have become known as the band's "Lost Tapes." The GoStation incorporated the track into their live sets early on, eventually recording their updated version with the intent of giving the "lost" track the airing they felt it always deserved. Download it now for free on the audio page, or at MySpace.
JIAMINI BENEFIT
On Saturday, Oct. 4, The GoStation are playing at a benefit for the Jiamini Scholarship Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing education to Tanzanian children in need. Jiamini is located in NYC, and the benefit was put together by fellow New Yorker Jonny Leather. The show takes place at Union Hall in Brooklyn, and also features Motel Motel, Intermissions, and Tropic of Nelson. Advance tickets are available here, with all proceeds going directly to the fund.
OURSTAGE DAILY DOWNLOAD
In their latest show of support for the band, OurStage have selected The GoStation for one of their coveted daily download slots. The site offered up a free download of "All Together Now" for the feature, which went up on September 23. "Crafting anthemic epics, The GoStation are doing their part to bring back arena rock," says the post. Read the rest and download the song for free at OurStage.com.
BERLIN ROSE
After an amazing weekend in the studio with producer Jack Douglas and engineer Jay Messina, we're happy to offer up the fruits of our labor, a brand new song called "Berlin Rose." This is the first hint of what you can expect from our second album, which we're going to be recording soon... so let us know what you think! "Berlin Rose" is up on our MySpace page now, and you can also check out some photos from the recording session here!
FEARLESS TV
On Saturday, July 26, The GoStation will be one of the artists featured on Fearless Music TV. We stopped by their studio to film a bunch of live performances, and they've selected "Not Enough" to air on the show! Tune in at 12:30am on FOX 5 in NYC, and on a number of other stations around the country. For a full list of stations carrying the show, click here. You can also vote for your favorite band from the show on the Fearless Music website, and the band that gets the most votes will appear again next week. Voting is already open. Just visit the Fearless Music site and select The GoStation to be back on the show for a second week!
THE GOSTATION IN 3D
During our recent trip to Baltimore to perform at Artscape 2008, we did a whole new kind of photoshoot. Check out the results in the amazing 3D photos posted on our photo page. Note: You need 3D glasses to properly view these, but any old pair will do. (We're talking about the old-fashioned red and blue paper and plastic ones, not the newfangled ones they use at the movies these days.) Thanks to Chris Hansen for these great shots!
JACK DOUGLAS SESSION
On July 25 & 26, The GoStation will be in the studio with producer Jack Douglas, recording a brand new song, "Berlin Rose."Douglas is famous for his work with John Lennon, The Who, Aerosmith, The New York Dolls, Supertramp, and a host of other classic artists. He won an Album of the Year Grammy Award for Lennon's "Double Fantasy," which was also the former Beatle's final authorized release. We're honored to be working with such a legendary talent, and look forward to sharing the results with all of you!
JONES BEACH SHOWS
We'll be playing a couple of exclusive acoustic sets at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater this summer. On Saturday August 2, we're performing at the O.A.R. and Ozomatli show; after that, we'll be back on Wednesday August 6 for the Stone Temple Pilots and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club show. Both sets will take place on the WaMu Live! Stage inside the venue, beginning as soon as the gates are opened. Tickets to both events are still available, but they're likely to sell out, so don't wait to get yours.
ARTSCAPE 2008

Thanks to Zazzle.com, we've finally got our official merch store up and running. T-shirts, stickers, keychains, mugs — we've got it all! Better yet, because Zazzle offers customized merchandise, you don't even have to buy the exact items we created. You can take the different band logos and put them on whatever kind of apparel you want. There are hundreds of choices, so the possibilities are pretty limitless. You can even preview your design onscreen on a variety of models, to get an idea of how it will actually look. To check it out, click on the widget on our MySpace page, or go straight to our shop.
WINTER TOUR
We're kicking off 2008 by hitting the road! Beginning Jan. 8th, we'll be playing in Chicago, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Fairfax, and Arlington, with more dates to come soon. Check our tour page for full details, and keep an eye out for more East Coast shows, as well as a trek towards Texas for this year's SXSW festival. We're looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones on our travels, so GoStation fans far and wide: come out, come out, wherever you are!
OURSTAGE STARS
A new video interview with the band is up now on OurStage.com. The clip was recorded at our 2007 CMJ Showcase at Crash Mansion in New York City. It combines a conversation with the whole band, live footage from our show, and clips of our video for "All Together Now." Watch it here. We think you'll agree it's pretty awesome. OurStage is one of our favorite sites (and huge supporters of the band). It's a great place to discover indie artists and filmmakers, and the fans decide who gets to the top. Viva democracy!
GETTING HIS KIT ON
We'd like to officially welcome Vin Russoniello to the band as our new drummer. Vin hit the ground running during CMJ, when he played his first show at our official showcase. Now, with the arrival of the New Year, we're making his addition to The GoStation official, too. Vin is taking over for Justin Aaronson, who put in two great years with the band, before deciding to focus on other pursuits. We're sad to see Justin go, but happy to have Vin on board. That's what they call bittersweet.
DEBUT ALBUM OUT NOW!
It's been a big build-up, but the moment has finally come: our debut full-length, Passion Before Function, is officially out in the US. You can order the album on CD through Amazon, CDBaby, or directly from our website. Digitally, you can find it in our MyStore and on iTunes, as well as through a number of other online retailers. The album will also be available in all US Virgin Megastores in the coming weeks, with even wider distribution in the works.
VIRGIN IN-STORE

This is a free, all-ages event. It's followed by the official album-release party on Saturday, Sept. 22 at The Annex in NYC. Advance copies of Passion Before Function will be available for purchase at both shows.
BACK TO SCHOOL BLOWOUT
We're performing a brief set in Union Square Park on Sunday, Sept. 16, as part of Time Out New York's Back to School Blowout. The fun runs from noon to 4pm in the park's South Plaza, with a Virgin Megastore sponsored stage featuring seven bands.
